I'm quite inclined to give the straightforward honor of "Most Important Person in Nickelodeon History" to none other than Dee Bradley Baker! You might recognize him from voicework on Nickelodeon's own Avatar, Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, etc.; Cartoon Network's Ben 10, American Dad, Adventure Time, Cow and Chicken, Codename: Kids Next Door, etc. and Disney's Phineas and Ferb. But, how would you like to be granted access into his background and career? If yes, then please read the paragraphs below:
Dee Bradley Baker was born in Bloomington, Indiana on August 31, 1962 (same day as my birthday!!). He grew up in Colorado, and when he was 9, he performed in musicals, operas, plays, stand-up comedies, etc.— the best launching pad for voicework on TV shows, I'd perhaps say. When he reached college and beyond, he became a stage actor, stand-up comedian, singer et al— plus, he majored in Philosophy, Biology and German. This career catapulted him over to Hollywood, and sure enough, he established his current voicework and more!
When he's not voicing characters in sitcoms or cartoons, you can see him on game shows. Two game shows that he's appeared on include Shop Til You Drop— which was a gameshow where two teams would run a relay race while shopping in a department store— and of course, Legends of the Hidden Temple— view my preceding post below for further information.
On the whole, he's done over a thousand voices on TV, film and video games; I pretty much don't have anything else to say, so that's the end; goodbye, goodnight and good riddance!
